The event will come about as a partnership between Assomac as co-organisers, Assocalzaturifici as partner and Messe Frankfurt Italia as organisational partner.
The topic of the congress will be “Moving Towards Sustainability Through Innovation” and organisers ask that abstracts are submitted before May 15, 2023.
Françoise Nicolas, Chair of the UITIC Congress Scientific Committee, said: “During this 21st UITIC Congress we are expecting speakers from footwear companies, research centres, universities or service providers for presenting new ideas, findings or applications in the field of sustainability and innovation in the footwear business or in related industries.”
The agenda will include visits of factories, companies and R&D centres in Milan and Vigevano on September 19, before a visit of the Simac Tanning Tech trade show on September 20 and then the congress conferences in Milan at the NH Milano Congress Centre on September 21 and 22.
Sergio Dulio, Chair of the UITIC Congress Organizational Committee, added: “In UITIC 2023, we want to expose the footwear world to all the most important technological evolutions and trends that can affect the way shoes are designed and manufactured.
“We have prepared a conference program that covers all the relevant topics from sustainability to digital transformation, to logistics and supply chains, with a special focus on the human capital of tomorrow.”
