The Curriers scholarship aims to support third year Footwear, Fashion and Textiles for Fashion students who are using leather as a raw material in their final major projects. Seven candidates were considered by the selection panel this year, and the 2020 scholarship worth £2,500 (US$3,195) was awarded to George Paul from Northampton, “who has produced some excellent design and work on sneakers, inspired by his love of skateboarding.”

The second prize worth £1,000 (US$1,277) was attributed to Maisie Thompson from Manchester for her original designs for footwear and clothing. Thompson has her own brand; “The Pig That Flew”.
