The company has appointed Lucy Winterborne and Daniel Hurd of Ernst & Young LLP as joint administrators.
The administrators are reportedly in advanced talks to sell the business and assets, which includes its Ethiopian operations, with a transaction expected to formally close by September 6, 2023.
Pittards previously failed to secure a minimum of £1.16 million (US$1.5 million) in order to continue trading.
