The presentations will give an overview of the importance of leather as a material and our ethical duty to use it as it is a by-product of the food industry, as well as provide an overview of the results of the EU funded SELAMBQ project to improve the raw material quality of Entrefino bred sheep and lambskins. Finally, efforts on deforestation-free beef and leather supply chains in the Amazon biome in Brazil, focusing on commodities that have the greatest impact on forest and wildlife, such as beef and leather, will also be explained.
