The Brazilian participation took place in the national pavilion, organised by Brazilian Leather, a joint project between the CICB (Brazilian Centre for the Tanning Industry) and Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Agency for Export Promotion and Investment), and featured 23 exhibitors as well as the Inspiramais exhibition showcasing Brazilian trends and innovation.

Although several buyers seemed to be cautious when negotiating, the Brazilian exhibitors affirm they have made several good contacts during the event.

José Fernando Bello, CICB’s Executive President, said ACLE provided the opportunity to conclude businesses and meet new potential clients. “We generated sales of around US$37 million and we expect another US$150 million within the next 12 months”, he added.
