Around 20 primary school teachers and 60 from lower secondary schools gathered in Arzignano on September 11, 2023, to learn about the sustainability objectives of the tanning industry.
The topics included climate change, environmental sustainability, sustainable development and the objectives of the UN 2030 Agenda.
The curriculum was aided by practical workshops, which were intended for the teachers to provide for their students. These were created by Pleiadi, which also manages the Children’s Museum of Verona.
Veneto Leather District Director Matteo Macilotti said: “A very important opportunity to make the teachers at our schools aware of the investments and strategies of the Veneto Leather District in terms of sustainability. It is even more so, because our teachers are privileged ambassadors to our children and their families.”
