The show increased considerably in size with 17,000 professionals from the leather industry visiting from around the world (up 16.5%, from outside Europe against September 2012) and from Europe (+22% compared with September 2012).

Cuir À Paris, the show organised by the French national leather council,

Le Conseil National du Cuir, and supported by the entire French leather industry was inaugurated by Arnaud Montebourg, the French Minister for Industrial Renewal.

Targeting the luxury and premium market segments, the quality of the products exhibited by the show’s 450 exhibitors remains of the same high standards, despite the expansion say the show organisers.

All the exhibitors questioned by the organisers were delighted with the quality of visitors. This is demonstrated by the mainly European visitors (80%) with a resurgence from French buyers up 20.5% against 2012 and Italian visitors were up 17% against last year.

From northern Europe, particularly from Holland (+47%) as well as a healthy increase in British visitors (+27%) there was also substantial presence of North American visitors including Canadians (+25%). This upward trend is also seen with visitors from Asia, namely China, South Korea and Taiwan which were up 17.3% compared with September of last year.

The next edition of Cuir À Paris takes place February 18-20, 2014 in Hall 3 of the Villepinte Nord Exhibition Centre in Paris.
