In this free-to-attend webinar, Dr Altman will cover how a strong partnership between the leather making and biotech industries can solve pressing health and environmental issues and bring leather production forward into a sustainable future.
About Dr Gregory Altman
Dr Gregory Altman’s extensive research into silk’s biocompatibility with the human body led to the creation of Serica Technologies, where he developed the first FDA-approved silk-based medical device for soft tissue reconstruction.
After co-founding Evolved By Nature, his work with silk biocompatibility on skin quickly lead to product innovations for leather, and then for textiles. Dr Altman holds a PhD in Biotechnology Engineering and BSc in Chemistry from Tufts University.
The webinar presentation will be followed by a live Q&A moderated by ILM Content Director, Martin Ricker, where attendees can ask Dr Altman pressing questions about the future of biotech in the leather industry.
