Kinschel’s presentation, “Why transparency in the leather supply chain matters and how to achieve it”, will explore the challenges companies and suppliers in the apparel industry are facing and the role transparency and sustainability plays in their business strategies. Furthermore, he will provide an overview of Oeko-Tex’s key standards and certifications, including Made in Green and Leather Standard, and how they can help brands and retailers convey their transparency and sustainability measures, particularly to increasingly discerning consumers.
About Dominik Kinschel
Dominik Kinschel graduated with a PhD in Chemistry from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) in Lausanne before his lifelong passion for sustainability led him to join the Oeko-Tex association. As Product Manager for the Standard 100 and Leather Standard, he actively leads the development and digitisation of both products and is involved in several stakeholder initiatives.
