The Leather Prize is open to all students and recent graduates (up to two years) of UK further or higher education furniture or furnishing related courses who have created an outstanding piece of furniture using leather.

Entries will close on June 14, 2024, and shortlisted applicants will be invited to exhibit their pieces to industry, the design community and potential employers at the Young Furniture Makers Exhibition in London on Wednesday October 2, when the final judging will take place.

Prizes will include a trip to a Scottish Leather Group tannery to learn more about the process of making upholstery leather.

Applicants will need to make an application to the Young Furniture Makers Textile Award and tick the box stating that they wish to be considered for the Leather Prize. For more information and to apply, click here.
